Case Study: RADIUS Authentication Server Testing

In developing a large real-time authentication server project written C++ it was found difficult to test using standard UI based and manual methods.

The Problem

Out client found it difficult to test a complex real-time application with conventional testing tools as they were UI based. In addition, there was a continuous development cycle that required frequent retests after enhancements and bug fixes had been made.

The Solution

PC Access developed a console based test program that was script based and also a set of test regression scripts that could be run each time a software release was made to ensure the functionality of the release.
